SPARTA, NJ –Executive Orders requiring people to worship from a distance have only slightly loosened, allowing for drive-in services and limited numbers for in-person services indoor and outside. Sunday, May 31 will be the second drive-in service at the Sparta Free Evangelical Church.
Attendees are asked to remain in their vehicles for the 11 a.m. service. They must park six feet apart and the restrooms will not be available.
Sparta Police Chief Neil Spidaletto said there were approximately 75 cars at their first service last week. The church had parking attendants and “it seemed everyone was acting as requested.”
Other Sparta churches are continuing their socially distanced and virtual worship.
