SPARTA, NJ – Sparta girls basketball kept the title in house when the defeated Warren Hills 49-44 at the Spartan Holiday tournament final game on Monday. The Sparta effort was led by freshmen.

Freshman Bailey Chapman was cool at the foul line, dropping in eight.  She also scored four from 3-point territory for 20 points.

Freshman Brynn McCurry put up 11 points with four 2-pointers and three free throws and pulled down 10 rebounds. Freshman Ally Sweeney had eight points and freshman Mason Munier added six.

With a record of 4-1, the girls will play at Mount Olive on January 3.
