ROXBURY, NJ- Sparta girls basketball easily defeated Roxbury on the Gaels’ court 62-22 on Wednesday night.
The Spartans took a double-digit lead in the first period and never looked back. It was 33-8 by the halftime buzzer.
Brynn McCurry put up 20 points and pulled down nine rebounds. She had three assists and two steals playing strong up and down the court.
Bailey Chapman added 10 points. Mason Munier and Olivia Bouma-Hannam each scored eight. Alexa Acker had five points. Ally Sweeney and Rylee Munier each contributed four.
Shauna Ryan dropped in a three pointer and Courtney Askin grabbed two rebounds and had an assist.
The girls record moves to 6-1. They will play at Parsippany Hills on Friday with a 7 p.m. start.
