SPARTA, NJ – The top seed girls basketball team move to the tri-county finals after defeating fourth seed Warren Hills on Saturday afternoon 57-48.

Ally Sweeney led the Spartan effort with 19 points, six rebounds, seven assists, a block and a steal.  She crossed the 250 point milestone, reaching 259 for the season so far.

Brynn McCurry put up 16 points and pulled down eight rebounds. McCurry had 374 season points and 217 rebounds; a force on both ends of the court.

Bailey Chapman, Olivia Bouma-Hannam, Alexa Acker and Mason Munier all contributed to the win. 

They will host number 10 seed Hunterdon Central on Friday, February 28 at 5 p.m. for the championship. The game will be played at Centenary College in Hackettstown.

The girls will play the first found of the NJSIAA North 1 Group 3 on Monday, March 2.  They are ranked third and will host 14 seed Morris Hills with a 5 p.m. start.
