SPARTA, NJ – The girls basketball team split the week with one win and one loss.  On Thursday they were edged out by Randolph 37 -32.  In that game Ally Sweeney had 12 points, six 3-pointers.  Sweeney had three rebounds, two assists and three steals.

Brynn McCurry had 10 points with eight rebounds a block and a two steals.  Olivia Bouma-Hannam, Alexa Acker, Mason Munier and Bailey Chapman all contributed to the win.

On Tuesday night the team celebrated the seniors, the girls basketball team had an easy win over Parsippany Hills defeating the Vikings 47-14.

Brynn McCurry dropped in 14 points, snagged 14 rebounds and seven steals.  Ally Sweeney put up 12 points, four rebounds, four assists and three steals.

Mason Munier had eight points with five rebounds.  Alexa Acker, Bailey Chapman, Olivia Bouma-Hannam and Courtney Askin all contributed to the win.

Sparta has moved to 17-2.  They face Randolph on the road on Thursday.  The girls host Voorhees in the quarterfinal round of the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex tournament with a 1 p.m. start.
