SPARTA, NJ- The third seed Spartan girls basketball season continues after defeating 14 seed Morris Hills 53-30.   They move to the quarterfinal round of the NJSIAA North 1, Group 3. The freshmen led the team with three double digit performances.

Ally Sweeney dropped in 18 points; six from inside the paint and three from the foul line.  She also grabbed five rebounds, had five assists and three steals.

Brynn McCurry had a double double; putting up 14 points and pulling down 12 rebounds with two assists, four blocks and three steals.

Bailey Chapman had 11 points. 

Alexa Acker added six points and seven rebounds.  Mason Munier and Olivia Bouma-Hannam contributed to the win. 

The 22-4 Sparta girls will host number six seed River Dell on Wednesday.
