CRANFORD, NJ - Prevention Links and the Health and Wellness Coalition of Union County are once again coordinating the 18th Annual Union County Red Ribbon Drug Prevention Walk. The event will take place on Saturday, October 21, at Nomahegan Park, 1024 Springfield Avenue, Cranford.
The walk will begin at 9 a.m. with the “Red Ribbon Free Family Fun Day” starting at 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
“As New Jersey and our nation continue to battle the heroin epidemic, Prevention Links would like to invite community members to join and unite with family and friends to end the stigma of addiction” Pamela Capaci, CEO of Prevention Links said.
Last year, several hundred families came out to enjoy the Walk and participate in the many activities such as face painting and pumpkin carving, all while supporting New Jersey’s first public Recovery High School, the Raymond J. Lesniak Experience, Strength, Hope Recovery High School.
Capaci added, “This year, we want to continue to support the high school and Prevention Links expanding efforts to support all New Jersey youth in recovery.”
