SPRINGFIELD, NJ - This charming local Garden Center has been run by Cosmo Mellusi, his brother and sister since 1971. Prior to that, the Cardinal family ran a garden center beginning in 1950.

The Cardinal family chicken farm was on this site long before any houses were built in the area. Cosmo says his business has been built by word of mouth with many customers coming from surrounding towns including Maplewood and South Orange.

Cardinal Lawn and Garden Center sells many varieties of plants and shrubs, as well as offering comprehensive landscaping services. Cosmo is a landscape architect. The company installs gardens, and also does masonry work and driveways.
