AMP Yoga Studio Officially Opened on Saturday in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, NJ - Ginny Colarusso is the owner of AMP Yoga Studio at 223 Mountain Avenue in Springfield. She held a Grand Opening celebration Saturday with lots of locally sourced treats and free yoga classes. Colarusso has taught yoga for nine years. Her specialty is yoga tune-up, which no other studio in the area offers. The yoga tune-up incorporates therapy balls for therapeutics and stress relief.

Other classes include vinyasa yoga, yoga bootcamp, basic flow, kid’s yoga, gentle yoga, beginner’s yoga and mat pilates. The website is and there is a Facebook page.  According to the website, “AMP stands for Asana Mantra Prana, which are known Sanskrit words in the yoga community.  Asana, or the physical yoga pose, is said to purify the body.  Mantra is a repeated word of phrase used to calm the mind, and Prana is pure universal vital energy used to raise your frequency and vibration.”

Colarusso was born and raised in Cranford.  She has dedicated hundreds of hours to learning various forms of yoga and its techniques.
