Assembly’s Deputy Maj. Leader Quijano, more to speak at Springfield Women’s Leadership Forum

SPRINGFIELD – This Sunday, March 25th, at 2pm, the Springfield Democratic Party will host its Second Annual Women’s Leadership Forum at the Chisholm Community Center.

Moderated by Springfield Deputy Mayor and Jersey City public school teacher Erica DuBois, the Forum will feature a panel of five women, including DuBois, reflecting on their time in public service, what motivated them to get involved, what work still has to be done for women to have equal representation, and more.

Rounding out the panel will be NJ Assembly Deputy Majority Leader Annette Quijano (LD20), Union County Election Commissioner and Former Springfield Mayor Clara Harelik, Union County Freeholder Linda Carter, and 2017 Candidate for State Assembly in LD13 Mariel DiDato.

The Forum is expected to last around two hours, and will feature a brief Q&A/meet and greet afterward.

CHISHOLM COMMUNITY CENTER is located at 100 South Springfield Avenue, Springfield NJ 07081.

THE SPRINGFIELD DEMOCRATIC PARTY meets on the fourth Monday of each month at Chisholm Community Center, at 7:30pm. More information can be found at springfieldnjdems.org.

Woman Struck by Car in Bridgewater Mall Parking Lot Dies

Bridgewater, NJ - A Bedminster woman has died from her injuries after she was struck by a car in the parking lot of the Bridgewater Commons Mall Monday.

Marion Kelley, 62, was struck by a vehicle while walking in lot four near the Macy's merchandise pick up area at around 3:20 p.m. Monday.
