ROSELLE, NJ - Authorities identified the person who was found dead July 6 in a lake at Warinanco Park as a 50-year-old man, a Union County spokesman told TAP today.

Oday Abd-Ali, whose last known address was in Elizabeth, was pulled from the lake about a week ago, Union County spokesman Sebastian D'elia said.

The cause of death will be determined by a medical examiner, D'elia said. There were no signs of foul play, he added.

The Union County Police and Sheriff's department responded to the park at about 2:25 p.m. on July 6, where they roped off a section by the lake.

People can rent small boats to use in the lake where the body was found. Warinanco Park is a county park, which includes parts of Roselle, Elizabeth and Linden. 

A 57-year-old Linden man was found dead in the same lake in April 2015. He was identified as Richard Ince, and authorities ruled his death accidental.

Authorities said Ince's body had been underwater for about two or three months before being found. He was last seen by family members in December 2014, authorities said.
