Berkeley Heights YMCA Offers Fun Youth and Teen Programs


The Summit Area YMCA Berkeley Heights campus offers engaging programs to help youth and teens discover and explore their interests and talents outside the classroom. We’re committed to keeping kids involved in a variety of fun activities that not only build healthy bodies, but stronger minds as well.

Full S.T.E.A.M. Ahead, our science, technology, engineering, arts & math program, is geared toward kids ages 2-5 where we introduce age appropriate stem activities.   These projects are sure to keep your little scientist engaged!

Cosmic Yogis, the Y’s first youth yoga class, teaches kids ages 6-10 yoga poses, breathing exercises and strength with a youth certified yoga instructor! Your child will leave relaxed, able to take these techniques and put them into everyday practice!

The Ski Club, offered to Berkeley Heights middle and high schoolers, takes weekly local ski trips after school during January and February.  It’s a challenging, fun way to exercise and also provides time for students to socialize and meet new people within their school while they build their ski and snowboarding skills.

Three School Buses Involved in Crash at Clark's ALJ High School

CLARK, NJ — Three buses collided in the Arthur L. Johnson High School parking lot around noon on Thursday in a chain-reaction crash.
