Brearley-Dayton Wrestling: Patrick Machado’s Season Ends in Preliminary Round of District

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, Nj – Dayton’s sophomore Patrick Machado’s season ended with in District 14’s preliminary round.  The four wrestlers that advanced to the semifinals were Alex Amato of Plainfield, Gregory Friedenberg of Governor Livingston, Nico Vargas of J.P. Stevens and Gilbert Hall Sosa of Woodbridge.

Amato won the district and earned the sixth seed in Region 4.  Vargas

Machado competed in the 138-pound weight class and was 4-6 for the season.  The is his second year on the team.

He is also a two-year member of the Bulldogs’ boys soccer team.  The team won back to back North 2 Group 1 Sectional Tournaments.

Three School Buses Involved in Crash at Clark's ALJ High School

CLARK, NJ — Three buses collided in the Arthur L. Johnson High School parking lot around noon on Thursday in a chain-reaction crash.
