Christopher Dean Band to Play at Westfield Memorial Library

The Christopher Dean Band will play at the Westfield Memorial Library on Wednesday, April 4 at 7:00 p.m. The library is located at 550 East Broad Street.

The Christopher Dean Band is a regional blues/soul band based out of the Central New Jersey area, working up and down the East coast year round. Christopher Dean fronts the group, playing guitar and singing lead vocals.

Dean, who was taught by his older brother and bass player, David, has been playing professionally for the past eight years. Since he graduated high school in 1992, he has studied various styles of guitar ranging from Delta, Chicago and Texas blues to jazz, folk, country, R&B and pop.

After he toured worldwide and recorded two albums with Big Jack Johnson and The Oilers, including “All The Way Back” in 1997, and “Roots Stew”' in 2000, he then recorded his first solo release in 2000, “Dogged n’ Driven.” Taking his new band and show on the road soon afterward, the band has continually toured the East coast for the past four years.

Well-known for its R&B and Blues style, the Christopher Dean Band will play a mix of familiar and unique songs. They will take the audience through Red Cadillac” and “Share your Love with Me.”

The program is open to Westfield Memorial Library and MURAL cardholders. (MURAL cardholders belong to the 43 libraries that are part of the Middlesex Union Reciprocal Agreement Libraries. Woman Struck by Car in Bridgewater Mall Parking Lot Dies

Bridgewater, NJ - A Bedminster woman has died from her injuries after she was struck by a car in the parking lot of the Bridgewater Commons Mall Monday.

Marion Kelley, 62, was struck by a vehicle while walking in lot four near the Macy's merchandise pick up area at around 3:20 p.m. Monday.
