Concord Singers Spring Present 'American Potpourri' Concert May 13


SUMMIT, NJ - Something to please any musical palate -- including a lively mix of Broadway tunes, folk songs, American standards and spirituals by composers and arrangers as varied as Rogers and Hammerstein, Gwyneth Walker, Morton Lauridsen, Cole Porter, and Pete Seeger -- will be on the menu of songs when the Concord Singers present its spring concert, “An American Potpourri," May 13 at Calvary Episcopal Church.

The show will begin at 7 p.m., with tickets priced at $15 for adults and $10 for children under the age of 12.

The Concord Singers is a non-audition chorus that offers a friendly musical home to both novice and experienced singers alike. Members come from many age groups, professions and backgrounds, and hail from 23 towns in six counties. The chorus, under the direction of Kevin Davis and is accompanied by Caroline Parody. which rehearses on Monday evenings at Calvary Church, welcomes new members are welcome.
