Confirmation celebrated at Trinity Cranford

On Sunday September 10, 2017 at 3:00 PM The Right Reverend William H. Stokes, the 12th Bishop of the Diocese of New Jersey, confirmed Emma Barone (Springfield), Salvatore Brown (Westfield), Justin Bursack (Cranford), Daniel DeMarco (Cranford) & Christian Robinson (Cranford) at Trinity Episcopal Church,119 Forest Avenue, Cranford, New Jersey. “Confirmation is the opportunity for a person to make a mature public affirmation of their faith and a commitment to the responsibilities of their Baptism”, said Father Andy Kruger, Trinity’s Priest-in-Charge. The confirmation ceremony follows two years of Confirmation classes led by Christy Barone (Springfield) and Vicky Cooney (Roselle Park), where candidates studied the Episcopal Church’s expression of Christian Faith through Bible study and prayer. Each candidate received the laying on of hands by Bishop Stokes. “The Confirmation process deepens one’s relationship with God,” said Father Andy.

Trinity Episcopal Church was founded in 1872. Trinity is a faith-based family that welcomes all people and strives to “know Christ and to make him known through faith, fellowship, and service.” Sunday services are at 8 AM and 10 AM w/music and celebrated by The Reverend Andy Kruger, Trinity’s Priest-in-Charge. In addition, from Monday to Thursday the Daily Offices of Morning and Evening Prayer are led by Father Andy in the Witherington Chapel, in the church undercroft which is accessible by outside stairs at the right rear corner of the church. Morning Prayer starts at 8:30AM and Evening Prayer starts at 5:00 PM. TEDS is a state licensed facility serving children from 2 1/2 years through Kindergarten, providing a nurturing, learning environment which promotes intellectual, emotional, social, spiritual and physical growth.
