Dayton Bowling Ends Season with 7-0 Victory over Oratory Prep and 10-4 record

LINDEN, NJ – Jonathan Dayton’s Bowling team completed its season with a 7-0 victory against rival Oratory Prep.  The win pushed the team’s record for the season to 10-4 and gave the Bulldogs nine winning seasons in a row. 

The Bulldogs’ three game total was 2,782 and Oratory’s total was 2,300.  Dayton won the first game 919 to 809.  They won the second game 916 to 775 and the third game was 947 to 716.

Senior Evan Weinberg put in another impressive performance ahead of the Individual Tournament of Champions Wednesday at Carolier Lanes in New Brunswick.  His three-game total was 735 for an average of 245 a game.  His game scores were 214, 255 and 266.  Weinberg finished the season with a 231 average.

Senior Scott Maran rolled a 579 series with games of 179, 193 and 213, for an average of 193.  His average for the season was 181.

Senior Sean Martin’s game scores were 149, 179 and 143 for a total of 471, or 157 a game.  His average for the season was 176.

Ansh Baxi, also a senior, rolled a 240, 132 and 136 for a three-game total of 509, or 170 a game.  His average for the season was 162.  His average for the season was 124, but in the last two matches he averaged 158.

Next year’s only returning bowler is sophomore Christopher Demers.  His three-game total was 488, or an average of 163.  His three games scores were 143, 156 and 189.
