SPRINGFIELD, NJ – Jonathan Dayton’s boys soccer team opened the season with a convincing 12-1 win on the road against Edison Academy Tuesday.

On Thursday, the Bulldogs lost their home opener 1-0 to Valley Division rival Oratory Prep.  The goal came in the first half.

Oratory’s defense did a much better job containing the Bulldogs' offense, as it allowed only four shots on goal.  Oratory managed ten shots on goal against Dayton.

During the preseason, Coach Fabiano described this year as a "reloading year".  The Bulldogs roster is made up of eleven seniors, three juniors, five sophomores and one freshman.

The Bulldogs play at Union Catholic Saturday.  The game starts at 1:00 p.m.
