DUNELLEN, NJ – The tenth seeded Jonathan Dayton Girls Soccer team played at seventh seed Dunellen High School and came away with a 1-0 victory in Round 1 of the NJSIAA North 2, Group 1 Tournament.

The victory means the Bulldogs advance to the quarterfinals of the tournament.  They play at the second seed North Arlington on Thursday November 2.  North Arlington beat 1the 5th seed Bloomfield Tech 8-0.

The game was scoreless at the end of the first half.  The only goal was scored in the second half by Dayton’s Hannah Quinones on an assist by Carina Servello.

The Bulldog’s goalie Jordan Sievert stopped all five shots on goal.  Dunellen’s goalie faced twelve shots.

Dayton is now 9-9-2 on the year.
