Dayton Girls Soccer Loses to Elizabeth 4-1 and goes to 2-2 for Season

ELIZABETH, NJ – Jonathan Dayton’s girls soccer team faced the Elizabeth Minutemen, the team favored to win Valley Division in 2017 at start of season, and lost 4-1.

The Bulldogs held the Minutemen to a 1-1 tie in the first half, but were unable to maintain the equilibrium in the second half when Elizabeth scored three goals.

For the game, the Minutemen had 15 shots on goal compared to eight for the Bulldogs.  Junior Jessica Micolta scored the lone Dayton goal and sophomore Jordan Sievert.

On Saturday, Jonathan Dayton plays an 11:00 a.m. game against division leader A.L. Johnson at home on Dayton’s turf field.
