Dayton Girls Tennis Beats Rahway 5-0 and Lifts Season Record to 8-8

SPRINGFIELD, NJ – The Jonathan Dayton girls tennis team faced the Rahway High School Indians and won the match 5-0. 

The Bulldogs court one player Fabiana Suarez won her match 6-0, 6-0.  Melanie Schickler continued her strong play on court two and won 6-1, 6-0.  Jordan Engel turned in a strong match by also winning 6-1, 6-0.

First doubles senior Zoe Frei and junior Sheila Flood won in two sets; 6-0, 6-1.  The second doubles team of senior Rachel Lefkowitz and senior Jessica Steir won their match 7-5, 6-2.

The win puts Dayton’s record for the season at 8-8 and 7-7 in the division.
