Bido tied with 10 other golfers, including (a) Spencer Weiner from Short Hills and (a) Sean Taylor from Westfield, for 78th place.

131 players entered to try and grab eight qualifying spots with two alternates at Green Brook, a 6,490-yard par 71 layout, which was one of six sites across the nation Wednesday to hold local qualifying tournaments.

Qualifiers from those tournaments will advance to U.S. Open Sectional Qualifying Tournaments from May 22-June 5, including Canoe Brook Country Club in nearby Summit on Monday, June 5.

This year, the 117th U.S. Open Championship will be held at Erin Hills Golf Course in Erin, Wisconsin, June 12-18.
