Devastating Fire at 57 Brook Street in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, NJ - On February 21, the Springfield Fire Department was dispatched to 57 Brook Street, a single family home that was engulfed in flames. The Fire Department was dispatched at 6:20 p.m. and they were on the scene at 6:23 p.m. The fire was placed under control at 7:20 p.m.  Fire Chief Palumbo stated that “The fire started in the garage, and there is extensive damage to the garage and the rooms above. It is not thought to be of suspicious origin.”

No one was injured in the blaze. The occupants have been put up in a local hotel. Those wishing to help the family in need may send a check to Springfield H.O.P.E. c/o Springfield OEM 200 Mountain Avenue, Springfield NJ 07081.
