SPRINGFIELD, NJ – Jonathan Dayton High School continues its long dramatic tradition with the fall production of the comedy“The Nerd” by Larry Shue.  This will be the school’s 77th production of a fall drama.  The first production was “The Night of January 16th” during the 1937-1938 school year.

There are eight students in the cast and seven more in the crew.  The set construction and design are also done by students, but mostly during the school day.  They have been working on the play since September.  The rehearsals are after school and cast members were expected to be able to rehearse without scripts by Halloween.

The week of the play is called Tech Week.  Tuesday through Thursday will be full rehearsals in full costume and makeup.
