Families Invited to Participate in Fall Festival at Watchung Reservation on October 7

STEM Activities, BB Gun Shooting, Arts and Crafts Are All Part of the Upcoming Fall Festival

MOUNTAINSIDE, NJ -  All families in the area are invited to attend “Adventure Day,” a bi-annual interactive family festival (formerly called “Watchung Day”) taking place on Saturday, Oct. 7 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Watchung Reservation. Last fall the event attracted more than 100 local boys and girls along with their parents. Activities offered include: BB, archery, outdoor cooking, STEM fun, crafts, sports, field games, and more.

Adventure Day will take place in the Scout Camping Area of Watchung Reservation. Parking is available at the Trailside Nature Center, 452 New Providence Rd, Mountainside.

Families are welcome to drop in at any time and stay as long as they wish. There is no cost for this free event but families are asked to RSVP at http://bit.ly/2whnNEq to ensure there are enough supplies available for all who attend.

Elizabeth Cops Seek ‘Armed and Dangerous’ Man

ELIZABETH, NJ —  Elizabeth police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating an "armed and dangerous" man wanted on multiple arrest warrants. According to officials, all of the warrants are for violent crimes.

Police have identified the man as William Valentin, 42. Valentin is of Puerto Rican descent with a muscular build, hazel eyes and black hair.
