SPRINGFIELD, NJ – There was a fire at the Short Hills Club Village complex around noon.  The situation is under control. 

According to Fire Chief Columbo the fire damaged four units but because of smoke and other issues, eight units had to be evacuated. Fortunately, no one was injured but unfortunately 16 people were displaced. 

At 2 p.m. the Union County Fire Investigation unit was still processing its analysis and review of the fire affected area to determine cause.
