Hockey: Dayton-Brearley-Union Falls to Morris Catholic in Defensive Struggle, 2-0

ROSELLE, NJ – Returning to action off an extended holiday break with their first game in almost three weeks, the Bulldogs offense was limited to just eight shots on goal.  Morris Catholic’s goalie, Andrew Herms, stopped all of them.  His team mates found the net twice and Morris Catholic won the game 2-0.

The Bulldogs goalie, Nick Facchini, stopped 17 of the 19 shots he faced.  His save percentage for the season is 0.89.

Morris Catholic took a 1-0 lead in the first period and the teams played a scoreless second period.  Morris Catholic added their final goal in the third period.

Scoring goals for Morris Catholic were Nicholas Leyhan and Matt Zuckerman on assists from Aidan Glass and Aldino Guadagnino.

The Bulldogs are 2-4-1 on the season and 0-2 in their division.  In their next game they face division leader, Frisch, at Frisch in Paramus.  The game is a 3 p.m. game Sunday.
