Hockey: Dayton – Brearley – Union Gets First Win Beating Lacey High School 10-2

ROSELLE PARK, NJ – The Bulldogs hockey team turned up the offensive heat Sunday night and came away with a 10-2 victory over Lacey High School at Warinanco Ice Rink.  It was the first victory of the season and the first in two years.

Sophomore Brenden Smith started the scoring for the Bulldogs and was followed by sophomore Joe Triano, junior JT Bokoske and freshman Gary Mignone with Smith assisting on the goal.  The Bulldogs went to the locker room with a 4-1 lead. 

In the second period, Mignone got things going for the Bulldogs with his second goal of the night.   Three more Bulldogs followed him and they were Bokoske for his second goal of the game, freshman Jeremy Griess, and Smith for his second of the game.  At the end of two periods, the Bulldogs led 8-2.

In the third period, the Bulldogs scored two unanswered goals.  Scoring a goal were junior Daniel Dorohkin and Triano scored his second of the game.  Sophomore Victor Velazquez assisted on the Dorohkin goal. 

The Bulldogs goalie sophomore Nick Facchini turned away 19 of the 21 shots he faced.  The Bulldogs had 35 shots on goal and are now 1-1-1 on the season.

Woman Struck by Car in Bridgewater Mall Parking Lot Dies

Bridgewater, NJ - A Bedminster woman has died from her injuries after she was struck by a car in the parking lot of the Bridgewater Commons Mall Monday.
