SPRINGFIELD, NJ – Jonathan Dayton boys’ Varsity Soccer beat the Tigers for the second time in a week on Thursday.  The Bulldogs scored two goals in the game.  The goals were scored by senior Jose Mejia and junior Anthony Nagy.  

Play was dominated by the Bulldogs as they limited the Tigers to just five shots on goal.  The Bulldogs’ goalie Jared Horowitz stopped all of them.  The Tiger’s Damion Saldanha stopped 12 of 14 shots on goal.

The win pushed the Tigers’ record to 8-4 for the season and their conference record of 5-1 leaves them a game ahead in first.  New Providence is in second at 4-2 and Oratory Prep is in third at 4-3.

The Bulldogs will play at Union Catholic at 10 a.m. Saturday in the first round of the Union County Tournament.
