KENILWORTH, NJ - The Dayton Bulldogs defeated the Union Farmers Wednesday on Galloping Hill's Learning Center 9, 166 to 216. The Bulldogs were led by senior Daniel Greiss’s 31, an impressive five under par.  With this round, Daniel now averages 40 for the 4-1 Bulldogs.

Senior Adam Berkowitz shot a 40 following his career best 39 on the challenging front nine of Baltusrol’s Upper Course.  These two rounds are the first two of his needed five scores of four strokes within par to qualify for the 2017 Union County Tournament and the Central Group 1 State sectional as an individual.  Adam is off to a terrific start with a 41 average over Dayton's five matches.

Daniel and Adam were joined by junior Scott Maran's 43 and senior Connor Mahoney's 52.

Senior Frankie Forte and junior Kevin Kennedy rounded out the fifth and sixth spots in the varsity match.

Sophomore Sarah Rodrick was the Dayton alternate.  Sarah drove the ball terrifically throughout the round.

Dayton has four matches in four days next week.  The first is Monday vs. Roselle Park Cougars on Baltusrol’s front nine of the Upper Course.  On Tuesday they play the Bergenfield Bears at Knickerbocker Country Club.  Wednesday, the Bulldogs are back at Galloping Hill to face the Elizabeth Minutemen.  The last match of the week is Thursday when the Bulldogs face the Summit Hilltoppers at Ashbrook Golf Club.
