Jonathan Dayton Golf Shoots Low Score for the Season and Beats Elizabeth, 158-240

KENILWORTH, NJ – The Dayton Bulldogs defeated the Elizabeth Minutemen Wednesday on Galloping Hill's Learning Center 9, 158 to 240.   Coach Dave Campbell said, “The Bulldogs probably scored the best team average today.”

Senior Adam Berkowitz carded a 36 and was only three over par.  Senior Daniel Greiss battled the windy conditions and shot a 38.   Junior Scott Maran also came in at 41 and one under bogey golf.  Rounding out the top four was senior Connor Mahoney with what the coach called a “career best at Galloping Hill Learning Center” 43.

Senior Jake Zeiman shot a 45 and senior Lee Roth shot a 54.

Senior Adam Sirotkin was the alternate.  Coach Campbell said his round “…was most likely the best card ever by a Dayton Bulldog who played as an alternate.  Alex announced his arrival to the top seven by shooting a 41.”  His round included birdies on the number one handicap hole, the par four second hole, and the par three fifth hole.  The coach said he had “…two beautiful reads on lengthy puts.”

The win pushes Dayton’s record to 8-1 including the two wins on Tuesday.

The last match of the week is today, Thursday, when the Bulldogs face the Summit Hilltoppers at Ashbrook Golf Club.
