Christopher James Phillips Scholarship to Danny Chan for his participation in Springfield's EMS

Susan V. Phillips Scholarship to Mary Athan for her Community Service

The awards were presented by Dr. Susan Phillips and her baby in memory of her brother and mother. Christopher was a 2003 graduate of Jonathan Dayton High School and died early of unknown heart problems.

Michael D'Sole Memorial Scholarships were given to Maria Finis, Samantha Miller and Emily Sickinger.

The award was given by Alexa McCarthy in honor of a person who worked his way up the ladder of the Springfield School, was well known to many and enjoyed conversing in Italian.

The Brian M. McNany Memorial Scholarship Award was given to Mary Athan

It was awarded by Edward J. McNany in honor of his brother.  One of the award's criteria is community service.

The Frederic Hecht Memorial Scholarship was given to Jordyn Cappa

The award was presented by Dr. Gary Hecht in honor of his father.  Students applying for the scholarhip ahd to write an essay.

The Lee Adler Memorial Scholarship for Academic Excellence was awarded to Shir Kalati

The Lee Adler Memorial Scholarship for Community Service was awarded to Michelle Faenza

Howard Alexander presented the scholarships.  Lee Adler was a very good math and science student who was also very active in the community.  He died on 9/11.

the Bertram Kaswiner Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Mary Athan

Dr. Lee Kaswiner presented the scholarhip in the name of  his father.  Students applying for the scholarhip had to write an essay.

The Joe Pasternostro Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Jose Mejia and Ariella Osias

Annamaria and Giuseppe Paternostro awarded the scholarship named for their father who was pationate about soccer and died too early of a heart attack on his way to a game.
