LINDEN, NJ - According to witnesses on the scene, a man has been apprehended after several hours of sitting and standing on the ledge of the Linden City Hall building, Monday afternoon.

Several officers from law enforcement departments from the New York and New Jersey area joined Linden police department on the scene to negotiate with the man until his capture.

While the incident took place, the area of N. Wood Avenue and Blancke Street was sealed off and eventually airbags were deployed in the area directly beneath the man.

The situation has now come to a peaceful resolution and roadways will remain closed while resources clear from the area, according to Linden police.

No injuries were reported from this incident.
