SPRINGFIELD, NJ - Happy St. Patrick’s Day to all!

Local tavern and restaurant  McLynn’s on Morris Avenue in Springfield  is THE place to be locally to celebrate with Irish traditions. Nick Perritti has owned McLynn’s for two years now and has quite a day of celebration planned.  The menu is full of Irish specialties from Corned Beef and cabbage, shepherd’s pie, bangers and chips, etc.  Guinness Stout is offered at $5 per bottle. The Emerald Society Bag Pipers will be there at 4:30-5:30 p.m. and the Dublin City Rebels at 6 p.m. Irish Step dancers, children and adult will be performing throughout the day.

The manager Lucia Stoeckle, welcomes all to “come shake their shamrock”.  In full disclosure the lovely lady in the lucky clover outfit in the captioned picture is Mandy, a waitress at McLynn’s.

To quote an old Irish blessing in the spirit of the day, “May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face and the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again may God hold you in the palm of his hand.”
