SPRINGFIELD, NJ - The weather was perfect and the families were out in force for opening day of baseball.   Eric Serio, President of Springfield New Jersey Baseball League (SNJBL) stated that there is an up tick in the number of children playing on teams this year.

SNJBL sponsors between 20-25 teams with more than 200 kids already signed up.   Serio’s goal for the year is “...a safe, healthy, and competitive season.  Another goal is to try to keep them playing baseball for years since there are lots of options in town”.
