SPRINGFIELD, NJ - The audience enjoyed the mellow music of FG7 during the fourth of five concerts sponsored this summer by the Springfield Business Improvement District (BID).

The crowd grew over the course of the summer evening. Members of the Township Committee, School Board and City Administration were in attendance.  The concerts are on the lawn in front of Town Hall.

BID member Mel Kevoe said, “It is a wonderful evening. We are trying to bring good entertainment to the Town of Springfield so they have a nice night out. We try to do different things in town that we haven’t done before. We are just trying to make it work.”

This is the third year of concerts on the Town Hall lawn.  Members of the BID are willing to look at other ideas to promote Springfield including possibly a Friday night concert with a well known band.

The last concert of the summer will be Vanessa Peres on August 24th.  The concert is scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m. is Springfield’s free daily news source. Sign up for our daily eNews and follow us on Facebook and Twitter @TAPSpringfield.
