According to a Gofundme page set up by his nephew Thomas Chadwick, Foster, 54, leaves behind his wife Tracy and four children, Chad, Ashley, Summer and Zoe.

“Walter, affectionately known as Wally, was well liked and loved by all who encountered him,” read the Gofundme page.  “He was a dedicated volunteer basketball coach for over 35 years at his Catholic grammar school.”

According to the Gofundme account, the page was set up for “contributions from those who desire to honor Walter's memory and lighten the burden of his family during this enormously difficult and challenging time.”  The fundraising goal is $25,000.  As of this publication, just over $13,000 has been donated.
