Put on a Happy Face! The Summit Playhouse will present the classic American musical "Bye Bye Birdie" with performances July 27, 28, August 3 and 4 at 7:30 p.m. and matinees July 29 and August 5 at 2:00 p.m.

It's the 1960s, Army-bound rock star Conrad Birdie is the talk of the town, and All-American girl Kim MacAfee is chosen for a very public farewell kiss before his departure. Kids, parents, and show biz people hilariously collide as Sweet Apple, Ohio prepares for the big event. With two Broadway runs and a hit motion picture, this classic musical is a fun time for the whole family.

Book by Michael Stewart, Music by Charles Strouse, Lyrics by Lee Adams.  The production is directed by John Ertman, with music direction by Natalie Pereira and choreography by Lara Gavagan.

The Summit Playhouse is located at 10 New England Ave., Summit NJ 07901.  Tickets are available at https://byebyebirdie.brownpapertickets.com/ or email summitplayhouseinfo@gmail.com for more information.
