DENVER, Colo. — Registration is now open for the PATH International Equine Services for Heroes Virtual Conference, Aug. 28-29.

This online learning experience provides an important professional education opportunity to individuals in equine-assisted activities and therapies (EAAT) and for those who may want to learn more about working with veterans and service personnel in this field. This virtual event will consist of 10 total educational sessions, including five hour-long sessions each day from speakers with expertise in military culture and serving those who have served their country. In addition, the breaks will be filled with extra networking and educational opportunities. The two-day event will be held completely online so that participants can conveniently participate from anywhere they have access to a computer and the internet.

Thanks in part to funding by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs Adaptive Sports Grant, PATH Intl. is offering lower prices for this virtual conference than in previous online conferences, including a low registration fee of only $29 for veterans.

PATH Intl. has hand-picked the individuals who will lead the sessions. These speakers were chosen because of their reputation and expertise. Learn from Michael Welch, a director with the VA, about what the VA is looking for through the adaptive sports grant programs and why they created a bridge with PATH Intl. Sarah Jenkins, a licensed mental health professional, will discuss working with posttraumatic stress disorder and trauma in her session "When Horses Hear the Unspeakable." These are just a couple of the outstanding speakers and sessions you will experience.
