DENVER, Colo. — Registration is now open for the second annual PATH Intl. virtual conference, April 24-25, 2018. This online learning experience provides an important professional education opportunity to individuals in equine-assisted activities and therapies (EAAT) and for those who may want to learn more about this burgeoning field. This virtual event will consist of 10 total educational sessions, including five hour-long sessions each day from speakers with diverse areas of expertise such as healthcare professionals, individuals from the education and special education fields, mental health professionals, center program directors, administrative personnel and credentialed professionals. The two-day event will be held completely online so that participants can conveniently participate from anywhere they have access to a computer and the internet.
PATH Intl. has hand-picked the individuals who will lead the sessions. These speakers were chosen because of their reputation and expertise in specific topics and are also individuals who will make this online format as empowering, informative and enlightening as the annual PATH Intl. The Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Intl.) was formed in 1969 to promote safety and optimal outcomes in equine-assisted activities and therapies (EAAT) for individuals with special needs. At 881 member centers, more than 66,100 children and adults, including more than 6,200 veterans, find improved health, wellness and a sense of pride, independence and fun through involvement with horses.
