Second Annual Women's Leadership Forum Sunday March 25 at Springfield's Chisholm Community Center

SPRINGFIELD, NJ - The second annual Women's Leadership Forum will be held at Springfield's Chisholm Community Center Sunday March 25 at 2:00 p.m.
 
The Forum is sponsored by the Union County Democratic Party, the Springfield Democratic Party and Ready to Run which "...is a non-partisan network of campaign training programs."
 
This year's program will be moderated by Springfield Township Committeewoman Erica DuBois.  The participants include Annette Quijano, NJ State Assembly Deputy Majority Leader; Clara Harelick, Esq., Union County Board of Elections Commissioner and former Mayor of Springfield; Mariel DiDato, former candidate of NJ State Assembly; and Linda Carter, Union County Freeholder.  More participants may be added.
 
 
The topic of the event is "Empowering our women to run for public office."
 
Last year's program included a panel of six included mayors, a New Jersey Assemblywoman, Council President, Township Committeewoman and the Union County Clerk. They were Mayor Christine Dansereau of Roselle; Council President Sara Todisco of Garwood; New Jersey Assemblywoman Shavonda Sumter of Paterson; Colleen Mahr Mayor of Fanwood; Joanne Rajoppi the Union County Clerk; and Springfield Township Committeewoman Erica DuBois.

Woman Struck by Car in Bridgewater Mall Parking Lot Dies

Bridgewater, NJ - A Bedminster woman has died from her injuries after she was struck by a car in the parking lot of the Bridgewater Commons Mall Monday.

Marion Kelley, 62, was struck by a vehicle while walking in lot four near the Macy's merchandise pick up area at around 3:20 p.m. Monday.

Independent City life experience training event for youth coming to Elizabeth July 21
