SPRINGFIELD, NJ - It was another tough start for the Dayton boys basketball team Tuesday.
Junior guard George Visconti scored a game-high 26 points, hitting three 3-pointers, and junior forward Joe DiProfio added 12 points to lead Johnson to a 68-48 victory over Dayton in Clark.
Sophomore guard Brenden Kelly had 10 points with two 3-pointers for Johnson (14-1), which has won five straight games and improved to 7-1 at home.

Johnson, which swept the season-series from Dayton, led 17-13 after the first quarter and used a 25-15 second quarter to take a 42-28 halftime lead.
Dayton lost at home to Johnson, 50-27, on Jan. 10.
Junior guard Antonio Salcfas continued his hot play for the Bulldogs with a team-high 15 points while senior guard Nick Ulizio added 14 points, draining four 3-pointers, and senior guard Joe Kastner posted 13 points with two 3-pointers.
Play continues this week for Dayton (7-8), which has dropped two of its last three games, with two straight home games, starting with a rematch with Oratory on Thursday at 7 p.m.
The Bulldogs dropped a 57-53 decision to Oratory in Summit on Jan. 17 as Salcfas scored a team-high 20 points with three 3-pointers and Kastner contributed 10.
Dayton, which is 3-3 in its last six games, returns to Mountain Avenue for a 1 p.m. Saturday matinee versus Paterson Catholic.
