SPRINGFIELD, NJ – Tuesday is Graduation Day for the Jonathan Dayton High School Seniors.  Congratulations to the Class of 2018!

On Sunday, Springfield's Historic Cannon Ball House will be holding an Open House on Sunday, June 24 to commemorate the 238th anniversary of the Battle of Springfield.

Preceding the open house, members of the Sons of the American Revolution will lay a wreath in front of the house in honor of those who fought and died in this conflict.  The Battle of Springfield occurred on June 23, 1780 and was the last major battle of the Revolutionary War to be fought in the northern colonies.  Many artifacts from this battle are on display inside the house, including the missile that gave the structure its name.
