Springfield Calendar for Week of March 26: Township Committee Presents Municipal Budget & ‘Hidden in Plain Sight’

Credits: Chip Dickson

SPRINGFIELD, NJ – This week precedes the schools’ spring break.  Because of the school days lost to snowy weather, students are expected to be in class April 2 and then commence their spring break.  The original plan was for the break to start on Good Friday, March 30.  That is also the day Passover begins.

On Tuesday, the municipal budget will be presented at the Township Committee meeting.

Wednesday March 28 there is a program at the Chisholm Community Center “Hidden in Plain Sight.”  According to the Township’s website, “Special DEA Agent Timothy McMahon will educate community members on the warning signs of an adolescent abusing drugs. Parents, professionals and adults will enter a bedroom filled with examples of drug paraphernalia and try to find a teen’s drug hiding spot. Representatives from Union County will be there to provide resources available to parents after the presentation. Adults only please.”
