Springfield Calendar for Week of November 6: Election Day and Two NJSIAA Semifinal Soccer Games

SPRINGFIELD, NJ – Election Day is Tuesday and in Springfield one Township Committee seat is being contested and three Board of Education seats will be filled, and one of those will be filled by a write-in candidate.  The three Township Committee candidates are incumbent Geri Ann Bujnowski (R), Chris Capodice (D) and Jeff Rosenberg (I).

On Monday and Tuesday, the girls and boys varsity soccer teams play semifinal games in the NJSIAA North 2, Group 1 Tournament.  The girls play Verona High School 4:00 p.m. Monday on Dayton’s turf field.  The boys travel to division foe New Providence High School Tuesday for a 2:00 p.m. game.  The teams split their season’s series.

There is a Veteran’s Day Observance Saturday and the schools have Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
