SPRINGFIELD, NJ - Saint James the Apostle Church honored area veterans with a patriotic mass followed by a catered luncheon in the school cafeteria on Sunday, November 10, 2019.

At the mass, Saint James pastor, Rev. Joseph F. Barbone gave the veterans a special blessing.  Boy Scout Troop 73 provided a color guard, and Springfield Mayor, Erica DuBois read a proclamation in honor of Veterans Day at the luncheon. The Saint James Adult Choir, under Music Ministry Director, Matthew Wilson, sang patriotic songs at both the mass and the luncheon.

“We are grateful for our veterans’ presence in our parish and our town, and we want to show them how much they mean to us,” said Rev. Barbone.
