SPRINGFIELD, NJ - Walter Zyck of Country Stand Farms in Washington, New Jersey has been coming to Springfield with his farm produce for many years. He said that all of North Jersey’s produce is coming in right now and that “…peppers, sweet corn, green beans, and peaches are at their peak." Then he said, "The tomatoes are finally coming along as are the melons. In the next ten days, the first of the summer apples will be available.”
When asked about the new location on the lawn of the Springfield Public Library, he was enthusiastic, “It is much better than the other locations. We get traffic from the Division of Motor Vehicles and the Library.”
The Springfield Farmer’s Market is open Mondays from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.
