SPRINGFIELD, NJ – The Township of Springfield honored and celebrated the service of our veterans with an observance ceremony held Saturday November 11 at Veterans Memorial Park.   The program involved town veterans, officials and local students

Township Committeewoman Geri Ann Bujnowski said of the event, “What a great turnout of veterans and spectators this morning at our Veterans Day Ceremony.” 

The she added, “What a great bunch of men that I have come to know and genuinely like from these many years of coordinating this ceremony and the Memorial Day Parade.  Remember to thank a veteran for his service today and every day.”

Township Committeewoman Bujnowski ended with “Thank you to all who attended and participated.  Special thanks to Catie Hodic who led us in the “Star Spangled Banner” and “God Bless America”, and Aiden Voorhees and Brandon Quintella who played Echo Taps”.”

It was a cold morning but Bujnowski felt it was “…well worth coming out this to salute our veterans."
