In his email, Capodice also explained why he was taking a short break from reporting the totals for the next few days.

"State and County staff, as well as myself, have worked seven days a week for a few months providing daily information, and at this juncture it is important to provide a break over this holiday weekend," he said. "Therefore I will not be providing a daily report on Saturday, Sunday, or Monday. I will resume reports on Wednesday. I thank you for your understanding and support."
