SPRINGFIELD, NJ — In a post on their Facebook page, Springfield Police announced an investigation into a robbery that took place earlier today at the Bank of America at the corner of Morris and Linden Avenues.

According to police, this morning in the 10:00 a.m. hour, an African American male wearing a green hooded jacket, orange traffic vest, white gloves and a white face mask entered the bank and showed tellers a black hand gun demanding money.

The suspect then fled to a nearby parking lot where he entered a tan sedan that left the area. The incident is currently under investigation by the Springfield Police Department in conjunction with the FBI.
